I’ve been the CEO of ERSTE Foundation since 2021, but in fact, I’ve been part of it from its very beginning: first on the management board, then in a very close relationship during my time as Head of Erste HUB—the digital innovation centre of Erste Group—from which projects like George and the Financial Life Park (FliP) emerged. Before I joined the world of Erste, I worked in another transformative environment: politics. Preparing Austria’s accession to the EU in the cabinet of then Vice Chancellor Erhard Busek was one of the most transformative experiences of my life, being responsible for the installation of the Holocaust Monument in the city of Vienna as Head of Cabinet of the Cultural Commissioner was another.
