Art and culture are crucial for our ability to cope with a rapidly changing world. They help us renegotiate social values, can transform fears into understanding and foster a shared awareness in the face of political, economic, technological and ecological challenges. In the area of arts, culture and society, we work to cultivate a vibrant and resilient cultural landscape that helps to open up new perspectives, explore experimental futures and provide a platform for critical debate and solidarity.

After graduating from the University of Vienna with a degree in Theatre, Film and Media Studies and completing a scholarship in San Francisco, I worked as a production manager at the Wiener Festwochen. In 2001, I took over the management of the press department at the newly founded Tanzquartier Wien and in 2005 I moved to Erste Bank to work on the sponsoring programme »Kontakt. Das Kunst- und Zivilgesellschaftsprogramm der Erste Group«. From there, it was only a small step to ERSTE Foundation, where I have been in charge of art and cultural projects since 2009.
