Conclusions
Each group presented their findings on the different categories and together with all participants we tried to find possible solutions.
ERSTE Foundation:
- Provide space where people can communicate such as workshops and events. Support local communities in their commitment in bringing majorities and minorities together.
- Organize boards and gathering of peers, so they can discuss “quality criteria” regarding human rights.
- Quality branding for information.
- Good governance award.
- Enhance the ERSTE Foundations PR.
- Provide a physical place to meet.
- The Bus (25 people, invest 5 days, visit 5 NGOs, see what happens)
- Getting the parents into the boat as well as teachers.
- Separate observation from valuation.
- Support independent culture centers.
Network:
- Let’s start web activities.
- Create learning opportunities.
- Support local communities in their commitment in bringing majorities and minorities together.
- Let people meet, who would never meet or who never met people…
- Give activists common experience as well as common targets.
- Enhance the ERSTE Foundations PR.
- Support independent culture centers.
- Deconstruct concrete myths.
- Establish teacher’s network.
- Human rights network
- Offering opportunities for inactive people to become active.
- NGO network, make it trustable.
