Why Thinking Social Activism?

Rising ethnic tension and increasing social exclusion all over Europe show that the work of social organisations and activists is needed more than ever. Every day they do their best to raise awareness and provide service and assistance where it is necessary. ERSTE Foundation wants to step up its activities to facilitate this work. In order to do so we organised the Workshop Thinking Social Activism to get an update on the current situation, future challenges and new possibilities. The idea is to establish a network of activists and concerned people and to give them innovative tools for social activism. We want to provide a virtual space where practitioners all over Europe can communicate, share information and knowledge, as well as rally support and organise collective action.
